Our platform is built on the principles of respect and professionalism. False claims, impersonation, doxxing, abusive language, abuse of consultation services are highly prohibited and we will hesitate to report to appropriate authorities if the need arises.
We would like to state that as much as we are embracing innovation to bring medical services to you at the comfort of your homes, we are not replacing In-Person care. We are committed to provide you with top notch medical services, however, considering the platform we are leveraging, limitations are expected and we cannot provide exhaustive medical care. We also do not prescribe drugs that are not over the counter. In that case, where in-person medical care is required, would be recommended by our licensed medical professionals.
As a telemedicine platform, we might in certain cases not be able to provide diagnosis as some medical issues might require in person diagnosis. However, we would provide relevant medical advice to further medical care. Please note, these medical advice do not guarantee medical advice or treatments.

Consultations may occur via texts. These consultations allow you to interact with our licensed medical professionals for medical advice, diagnosis and medical treatment recommendations. Please note that these consultations are meant to supplement, not replace your in-person consultations with your healthcare provider.
While Ask the Doc aims to provide timely medical services, response time may vary based on the availability of our medical professionals. We do not guarantee instant responses and the availability of medical professionals depends on their schedules. However, we assure you of prompt response to your consultation requests.
Our platform is not designed for use in emergency medical situations, if you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency medical providers immediately or get yourself to the nearest hospital. Ask the Doc is designed for non-urgent medical consultations and we will provide you excellent service, however, we may not be able to provide you with the medical assistance you need in a medical emergency situation.
By using our platform, you agree to pay all associated fees with the telemedicine services provided by our professionals. The fees for consultations and other medical services will be displayed on the website before you proceed to make consultation. These fees are subject to change but you will be notified in the event of such a decision.
We accept different methods of payment including credit, debit cards and other methods of electronic payments. You are responsible for ensuring that the information your provided is accurate and updated.
In the event of cancellation, please refer to our cancellation policy.
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact our support within 48 hours. We will conduct a review of that and resolve any valid dispute in accordance with our policies. Any chargebacks or disputed payments without legitimate grounds may result in suspension or termination of your account.
All content features and functionality available through the Ask The Doc website including but not limited to texts, images, logos, icons, audio clips, videos, software and digital downloads are the exclusive property of the Health City or its licensors and are protected by Copyright, Trademark, trade secrets and other intellectual property laws.
The Health City grants you non-exclusive, non-transferable rights to access and use the Ask the Doc website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. This licence does not give you the permission to sell or commercialise the content of this website.
Any content you submit to the platform but not limited to feedback, suggestions and other information or materials shall remain your property. However, by submitting such content, you grant the Health City the perpetual, irrevocable royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify and distribute for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the services.
You agree not to copy, reproduce, alter or share in any media any property of the Health City without prior permission. Any unauthorised use of the app’s content or intellectual property is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of your access to the platform, in addition to legal action.
If you believe that your content on the Ask the Doc Website has been infringed upon, you can reach out to us via the (the support mail) providing a detailed description of the alleged infringement, and we will take appropriate action as necessary.
Our main goal is to provide you with top notch medical services, however, the information and services provided via the Ask the Doc website by our licensed medical practitioners are offered “as is” and “as available”. Health City does not make any warranties, expressed or implied as to the accuracy of our medical services for any particular purpose.
Our medical professionals are highly qualified and competent. However, the Health City is not responsible for the medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plans provided by healthcare providers using the platform. You agree that any medical advice or treatment is provided at the discretion of the healthcare provider, and the Health City is not liable for any outcomes or consequences of the care provided.
We will not be liable for any action you take or fail to take based on the medical advice provided to you via the Ask the Doc digital platform. You acknowledge that consultations on the Ask the Doc website are not a substitute for in person check up and, particularly in emergency or life threatening situations.
The Health City will not be liable for any service provided on an external link or any third party services and you agree that the Health City will not be liable for any damages arising from use of any third party service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the liability of the Health City will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
The Health City reserves a right to terminate the account of a person who fails to comply with the terms of this website.
You may terminate your use of the app at any time by deleting your account or discontinuing the use of our services. Upon termination, we may retain certain information as required by law or our privacy policy. Termination of your account does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.
Upon company or voluntary termination, you will no longer be able to use or access our digital platform until you create a profile to access and use the Ask the Doc website again.
The term of use and any dispute or claims arising out or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute, controversy, claim shall be resolved by negotiation between the parties. If the parties are unable to resolve the dispute through negotiation within 14 days, the dispute shall be submitted to mediation or arbitration.
During the course of providing services, you might be redirected to external or third party links. Please note that we will not be liable for the content of any third party service provider.
You consent to receive updates, information and electronic communications for app updates, consultations and service related issues.
We reserve the rights as necessitated by regulatory responsibility to make changes or updates to the terms and we owe you the responsibility to keep you informed when we make such decisions.
